Randy Bartlett

Photographer, Conservationist

Born and raised in the Hawaiian Islands, Randy Bartlett is dedicated to the conservation of Hawaii’s native eco-systems. Randy’s goal is to capture moments of divine beauty in nature. He focuses more on subject, light, color and composition and less on post-processing so that the images he captures celebrate the raw essence of nature. He started taking photographs in 1976 and became a dedicated conservation photographer in 1988; in conjunction with a 22-year stint as the watershed manager for Maui Land & Pineapple Company’s Pu`u Kukui Watershed Preserve – the largest, private nature preserve in Hawai`i at the time.

Up to 80% of the proceeds from sales of his photography are donated to Hawai`i-based non-profit organizations dedicated to the conservation and protection of Hawaii’s remaining natural resources and endangered species.

“My purpose is to raise funds for the conservation of Hawaii’s beautiful & unique biodiversity by sharing these images of it’s rare & endangered native species that many have never experienced in person.” – Randy
